Believe it or not, it took just 12 days for 15-year-old DRAMA and 15-year-old Shawty Redd to produce, record, and mixdown the "Causin' Drama" album as we know it today. In fact, 9 of those tracks were fully recorded and mixed down in the first 2 days with skits and interludes to follow in the days thereafter.
Since becoming Muslim, DRAMA grew up in an all-Christian household and regularly attended his family's church in Sylacauga, Alabama. It was here that he was first exposed to live music and even sang in the church choir. It was also here that he quickly learned how to play the piano and drums while learning how to record his own music on basic church equipment.
He would eventually be exposed to the World of Hip Hop and R&B, falling deeply in love with the sounds and stories of the streets, and would begin writing his own music on his journey to becoming one of the forerunners of the Crunk and Drill Eras.
Terence "DRAMA" Cook was discovered by Atlanta Legend, Raheem the Dream of then Tight IV Life Records at the mere age of 15. As fate would have it, Raheem would attend a birthday party for his girlfriend's cousin, and DRAMA would introduce himself as an up-and-coming rapper, performing "Left, Right, Left" right there on the spot — beating on his chest and using them as a living set of drums with a sight to behold!
DRAMA isn't just a rapper from Atlanta. For years, he's worked behind the scenes, writing music for a number of up-and-coming artists, producers, and veterans in several styles and genres. Creating Goreala Militia Entertainment (GME) as a haven for hungry and ambitious artists, he coined the term "Go-Reala" for artists and producers who aren't afraid to "go realer" than the next man, to put in work, and to just be themselves while doing it.
Do you even have to ask? "A-T-L-A-N-T-A is where" he "S-T-A-Y" until his "D-to the-Y-I-N-G D-A-Y."
DRAMA is currently in "Motion," recording two new albums as we speak — with songs like "Amongst the Stars," "Work It," and the 2024 Atlanta Falcons "Rise Up" Anthem.
While DRAMA has appeared in several independent films over the years, he's getting ready to jump head first into the major motion pictures. He's also building out his music label and entertainment empire while re-emerging for his 25th anniversary "come back."
